APA is hosting a student roundtable on January 23rd and is looking for volunteers interested in sharing knowledge & answering questions about their field.

3) UCLA Football at the Sun Bowl: UCLA vs. Northwestern – 12/20/05

It has been a great season and now the Bruins are ready to finish it off with one last win at the Vitalis Sun Bowl. This is the Bruins’ third visit to the Sun Bowl, and this time they are taking on the Big 10’s Northwestern. It’s sure to be a great game, so don’t forget to tune in. Go Bruins!

4) UC Day in Sacramento – 3/7/06

Calling All Alumni Volunteers,
You helped make a difference in state financing in 2005-06. Can you help
us do it again? Learn about government advocacy and put your interests
and skills to work for the benefit of UCLA.
Come out to UC Day in Sacramento.
Following the release of the governor's 2006-07 budget, UCLA will hold a
Sacramento Workshop on Feb. 7. The workshop will train you to interact
effectively on behalf of the University of California with the governor
and members of the state legislature.
* Learn about the challenges facing the University from senior UCLA and UC officials.
* Hear about issues affecting California from elected officials and administration staff.
* Interact with members of the legislature and the governor's office.
* Build necessary skills to be an effective advocate for UCLA.
* Gain valuable experience in legislative meetings at the state capitol.
Come out and show your true colors.

5) Asian Excellence Awards (AXA) - 1/19/06

The 2006 Asian Excellence Awards comes to Hollywood via New York where for the past four years, New York-based theater company Second Generation has produced an earlier incarnation of the award show under the name the "Concert of Excellence" with Remy Martin as the corporate sponsor. This annual event has sold-out Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center and has gained tremendous recognition throughout the Asian American community.
Now, the 2006 Asian Excellence Awards is the next evolution of this event, which will continue to celebrate and uplift the heroes of the Asian American community but on a much larger scale than ever before by bringing it to a national audience through AZN Television.
The Asian Excellence Awards (AXA) Featuring the Remy Martin X. O Honors will shine a national spotlight on Asian Americans who have made a genuine difference. The Awards will celebrate and recognize the amazing and inspirational accomplishments of Asians and Asian Americans.
The evening will be hosted by Kelly Hu and MAD-TV's Bobby Lee!
All ticket holders are invited to the GLAM Asian Excellence Awards After-Party at MOOD (6623 Hollywood Blvd Hollywood, CA).
